We all have defining moments in our lives. These times help shape who we are and what we may become. For the following man, such a defining moment came as he overcame the chaos around him during his three tours of duty in Afghanistan and Iraq.

The Return To Civilian Life

Jeff Tudisca was free to enjoy what he had missed during his stint in the United States Army; This included attending concerts. He especially enjoyed the music of Miranda Lambert and relished every moment of the five live tour appearances he was able to attend.

The Voice That Helped Him Find Rest

While Lambert is an extremely talented singer, there was much more to the veteran’s interest in her than the music. During all three of his tours of duty, it was her voice that lulled him to sleep each night when nothing else could. As he listened to recordings of her, he was able to let go of daily concerns and get the high-quality sleep need to be his best.

The Moment That Meant Everything For Them Both

While Lambert was singing her country hit, “The House That Built Me,” she spotted a sign that read: “3 combat tours. Your voice was the last thing I listened to EVERY NIGHT! THANK YOU!!!” The man holding the sign was Tudisca. Lambert relied on fans to sing the rest of the song as she was overwhelmed with tears by such a profound connection with Tudisca.
