How strong is their bond? The bond appears powerful. Such is often the case when two animals grow up together. SPCA staff members noticed the two animal kingdom friends do get along incredibly well. Hemingway, the diminutive goose, often becomes protective of his horse friend.

Even when SPCA staff members try to care for Waffles, Hemingway gets irks and gets between them. The goose doesn't realize the staff members are trying to help him and his friend. What a shame more humans don't act like Waffles and Hemingway.
