Millennials are known for their overuse of social media and technology, but in today’s fast-moving world, it’s a generation that does straddle a lot of different types of technological waves. For that reason, Millennials can feel old because they remember using things in daily life that can now be considered ancient technology by the up-and-comers of Generation Z.
Pew Research Center defines Millennials as those who born 1981-1996, roughly 22 to 38-year-olds, and Generation Z as those born between 1997-2012, roughly 7 to 21-year-olds.

To highlight the differences between the two generations, Millennials are sharing things on social media that they can strongly relate to, but that Gen Z knows nothing about. Check them out here, do you feel old yet?
Each generation thinks the one after them had it so much easier. Millennials know parents and grandparents try to impart that upon them all the time. But now that the next gen is creeping up, it’s time for Millennials to transfer that frustration on to them.
Gen Z just doesn’t know how easy they have it with cutting edge technology and gadgets that just pale in comparison to those before.
The horrors of giant cell phones of the 90s, video game cartridges, no wireless technology anywhere, and even the days of (gasp!) pre-internet are just unknown to students today.
Inserting a floppy disk into a computer, or even a thumb drive, to physically carry data around is just a foreign idea. Now, people just take all the tech for granted and don’t reflect on hard things used to be.
If you have a member of Gen Y or a Baby Boomer around, you can commiserate with growing old. Better yet, if there is a Generation Z-er around, show them these pictures and see if they recognize anything at all.
