Millennial Punk Is In Tears After Being Turned Into A 'Lady' During Makeover

Christopher Hopkins AKA The Makeover Guy is known for making over women, particularly past a certain age, and giving them a new lease on life. Well for this makeover, he not only turned his attention to a woman who's just 25-years-old, but she also happened to be his employee. Kayla from Minnesota used to be a Millennial punk with face piercings and blue-and-pink hair — but over the course of 16-months, Christopher and his team turned her into a true lady, donning hosiery and all!

From the second Kayla introduces herself her tattooed arm is on show, revealing a glimpse of the punk aesthetic she once used to embody. A referral from an instructor at the Aveda Institute, who happened to teach Christopher 30 years prior, Kayla goes on to describe how she looked when she first arrived:

"I came in with a couple of nose rings, some pink-and-blue hair."

She says she's already had a partial transformation having worked there for some months, but she's ready to take the next big step as she is finally graduating in a week and wants to stand out, "look more mature, and show who [she] really [is]."

Once the video switches to the new Kayla, it's hard to believe it's the same person! Not only is she glowing with a new light auburn hair color, but her makeup is also soft and accentuates her stunning blue eyes. She's also now talking with a British accent!? But that's rather Kayla's humor coming into play, as she pokes fun at herself saying, "all of a sudden I'm British." She's gorgeous and has a sense of humor.

But then the emotional side of her journey comes out—Kayla is a single mom of a three-year-old, who was driving all over Minnesota to pursue her dreams of working in beauty, while also juggling a job at KFC. She says her initial interview with Christopher and his team didn't feel like one, but rather a conversation to get to know her personally. After he realized how much running around she was doing, he offered her a permanent job with his team. It's at this moment that Kayla begins to tear up, saying at first she thought she was getting fired, as she never thought something like this would happen to her. 

Describing the team working with The Makeover Guy as her "family," like a true relative Christopher lovingly jokes with Kayla and says, "A lady always has a handkerchief." It's clear how much Kayla has grown in the 16 months she's been part of Christopher's team, not only through physical changes but in her self-confidence.
