While Miley Cyrus gave a speech during Janice Freeman's memorial service, she couldn't help but tear up.
Cyrus voiced that Freeman was indeed her couch and it wasn't the other way around. Family, friends, and many others joined together at Mariners Church located in Irvine, California to celebrate the life of Freeman. Freeman passed too early at only the young age of 33. On March 2nd, she couldn't fight her sickness any longer.
Pneumonia caused a blot clot that passed into her heart which ultimately lead to her passing. Her husband gave her CPR but unfortunately, it wasn't enough. She was announced dead when she arrived at the hospital.

As a coach on "The Voice", Cyrus was a mentor to Freeman on the 13th season. This was the season where Freeman made it into the top 11. Throughout the service, Cyrus made it clear that she felt the other way around about it. She explained that she wasn't her coach. "She was always mine", said Cyrus.
She goes to say that she learned so much from Freeman. It wasn't just about singing or vocal talent. Cyrus admits that Freeman taught her everything she now knows about love. Cyrus had planned to sing a song in tribute to Freeman but after becoming emotional, she felt she couldn't perform it without help.
She seemed to know this would happen in advance and asked her dad to do it for her. Before the song she lets everyone know that Freeman will always be her sister and that she is there for her family. She couldn't express enough just how much she does and will miss Freeman.
Billy Ray Cyrus helped his daughter to perform an outstanding performance of the song "Amazing Grace". They sang the song in dedication to Freeman. Billy Ray Cyrus started the song alone, Miley Cyrus joined in and then the song was finished with Miley going solo at the end.
After the song completed, Cyrus went on to thank Freeman's family for letting her be a part of their lived and for Freeman allowing her to be her friend. "It's been an honor", she said.
Cyrus posted a few tweets to Freeman but here is one that stood out: “To hug you one more time @janicefreeman …. I made a promise to you here on earth and will keep that promise as you watch from heaven. To take care of your precious little girl, my baby sister. To shine a light on your husband and mother when days are dark ! I love you.”
This is the sweetest. It's not every day that you hear a star showing someone how much they care. Be sure and send this on to others to show just how caring Miley Cyrus is.
