Most people like dogs. For humans, dogs have been constant companions. People domesticated dogs for companionship, help with hunting, safety, and security. Dogs make excellent pets, but it takes the right owner and proper care in order for a dog to truly thrive.

Two joggers saw a small dog hiding in some bushes near an apartment complex. It was dark, and the dog was alone. The dog looked like it could be someone's pet, so they called for help.

The poor dog was scared. It did not want to come out when the rescuers called out to it. They were finally able to lure the dog out with some bites of cheeseburger. He was skittish and wanted to go back into the bushes to hide, but one of the rescuers reached and gently pulled him out of hiding. The rescuers scanned the dog for a microchip. Luckily, the dog had a chip with up-to-date information.

The rescuers contacted the person whose information was on the microchip. The person admitted that the dog was hers. She also said that the dog had been given to her as a gift, and that she never wanted the gift in the first place. She refused to come and collect her dog, stating that she did not want it.

The rescuers took the dog to a foster center after speaking with the person who abandoned him. Soon, the dog was adopted by a family who did want him. Now, this poor pooch has his fur-ever family.
