Michigan Couple Says Ghost They Spotted On Nanny Cam Left Scratches On Baby Girl

Many people explore haunted houses around Halloween as a way to get into the spirit of the season, but for one Michigan family, the spookiness of a haunted house just became a very scary reality.
As seen in this video from 2019, the couple, Heather and Josh, saw a figure in their nanny cam that they believe to be a ghost. The details of who they think it is—a man who used to live there that supposedly committed suicide—make the story even creepier.

Heather and Josh are a young couple from Highland, Michigan who welcomed a little girl into their family some time before the video was taken. While they save up money for a place of their own, they're staying in Josh's mother's guesthouse.
It seemed like the perfect setup at first—until their nanny cam captured a strange image walking around in their 15-month-old daughter Lily's bedroom.

The new parents reviewed the footage after they say their little girl woke up with scratch marks on her face one morning. What they saw on the screen both frightened and shocked them.
"It’s almost like she sees something that we don’t," Heather told WXYZ.
Joshua then went to describe the whole ordeal as "chilling."
"It was chilling; it was literally a chill down your spine, like that 'what if' factor—Is this what I just saw?"
Despite only having the video as evidence, Heather and Josh think their guesthouse is haunted and that the ghost is out to get their family.
"It scares us that it could do something else," Heather said. "I mean, there was a morning I woke up and I felt like someone’s hands were around my neck."
Rumor has it that the man who lived in the home prior to Josh's parents purchasing it committed suicide by jumping out of a second-story window.
While the couple suspects that man is the ghost they saw in that video, they aren't planning on sticking around much longer to encounter him again. They have hopes to move out of the home as soon as possible.
