Kent County in Michigan holds an Adoption Day every year. Michael was one of 36 children who officially obtained a new parent or two this year. For Michael, however, the event was unique because his entire class showed up to support him.

The kindergarten was all there, waving pink heart flags and cheering for Michael. Michael wore a huge smile the entire time along with a cute checkered suit and a bow tie. His new parents took pictures of him with his support group, the judge, and a visiting Santa Claus.

The five-year-old boy and his foster parents attended the hearing to finalize the adoption with his entire class in attendance, according to ABC affiliate WZZM. The judge admitted she had never had an entire kindergarten class attend any of her hearings before.

The young students provided a lot of support, saying things like "Michael is my best friend" and "I love Michael", according to the news outlet.

Michael's new parents had fostered him for a year before finalizing the adoption. His kindergarten teacher was fully aware of their situation and one day she brought up the idea of bringing the class along to the final adoption hearing. His new parents were in favor of the idea. They admit they are really astonished by how many friends their young son has in the local community.

Michael's new parents have been married for ten years and have never attempted to raise any children before they started to foster Michael. They say he's very charming and athletic and loves to swim, dance, and play sports.
