Bertelsmann's Penguin Random House, which published Michelle’s book said “Becoming” will likely become its highest-selling autobiography ever. The publisher also hinted at Barack’s upcoming book becoming an equal or even greater success. Speaking on autobiography’s successful 2.8 percent gain for the publisher, Bertelsmann CEO Thomas Rabe told a news conference as cited by NBC,

“That makes it our most notable creative success of last year."

“Becoming” tells the story of Michelle’s life in politics and behind the scenes. According to the book’s website,

“With unerring honesty and lively wit, she[Michelle Obama] describes her triumphs and her disappointments, both public and private, telling her full story as she has lived it—in her own words and on her own terms.”

Barack Obama is gearing up to release his autobiography which according to Huff Post is still in its first draft written on legal notepads, the same way he used to write his speeches. However, the book is not expected to be released until 2020 which could put Obama’s legacy into the spotlight just as voters are getting ready to choose the next presidential candidate.
