Michelle Obama Celebrated National Dog Day Showing The Sweetest Photos Of Her Furry Pups Bo And Sunny

National Dog Day was this past Monday, having pet owners everywhere celebrating their furry pets. Even former FLOTUS Michelle Obama honored her two doggies Bo and Sunny for the special day. 

The best-selling author posted a picture on Twitter of her two Portuguese Water Dogs with a sweet caption.

"Whether they’re cuddling up with me on the couch or rolling around in the backyard, I love these two balls of fur. Happy #NationalDogDay to Bo and Sunny!"

According to the Presidential Pet Museum, President Obama promised his daughters Sasha and Malia that the family would get a puppy if he won the presidential race. He managed to become victorious as well as keep the promise. Senator Ted Kennedy and his wife presented a dog to the girls as a gift on April 14, 2009.

That pup was Bo and he soon needed a sibling to keep him company. The Obamas then got Sunny a furry breed of the same mix who became Bo's sister. She was introduced to the world via the First Lady's Twitter in August, 2013. To see even more pictures of Bo and Sunny, watch the video below:
