Jun 20, 2023 by apost team

Michael Strahan is a former football player turned journalist and TV personality. Michael was born into a sports-inclined family. His father was a basketball coach, retired army major, and professional boxer, while his uncle, Art Strahan, was an NFL defensive lineman. It is no wonder Michael followed in their footsteps and started playing football in high school. After one season of playing football in high school, he got a scholarship to Texas Southern University, where, like his uncle, he played in the defensive position.

Michael achieved stellar success in football; within a short while after resuming at the university, he established himself as an NFL prospect, and one year after his graduation, he was drafted in the second round by the New York Giants. He had a successful football career, finally retiring in 2007.

After his retirement, the former pro footballer delved into sporting journalism when he joined Fox's "NFL Sunday" pregame show in 2008. Like in football, Michael climbed the ladder, achieving great feats as a journalist and TV personality. He progressed from being a sports journalist to being a routine talk show host alongside other celebrated TV hosts.

Besides his plausible achievements in sports and media, Michael was popular for being a great dad to his four kids. Like his career achievements, the TV personality never missed a chance to showcase his children, among which are his twin daughters — branding himself a girl dad at every point.

Recently, the proud father was presented with the opportunity to celebrate his twin daughters' academic achievements. Michael's twin daughters were admitted to college, and he took to Instagram in May and June 2023 to celebrate the achievement. Besides his footballing abilities and stint in the media, Michael's personal life was particularly interesting to many. Fans of the former pro footballer always want to know the details of his personal life. And like his career, his relationship timeline has been quite eventful. Since stepping into the limelight, the former pro footballer has been linked to four women.

Michael's first known relationship was with his first wife, businesswoman Wanda Hutchins. The pair hit it right off after meeting at a football game in Germany. Despite being in a long-distance relationship due to Michael's relocation to play football in the US, the former couple kept their flame burning. They eventually tied the knot in 1992 and were married for four years until 1996, when they went their separate ways. Michael and Hutchins share two children; daughter Tanita Strahan and son Michael Anthony Stahan Jr.

Barely three years after his first marriage ended, Michael walked down the aisle for the second time with Jean Muggli, months after meeting her in a beauty shop. The romance between the couple was the stuff of fairy tales, but after seven years and a set of twins, the marriage took an ugly turn, ending in a bitter divorce in 2006.

Michael moved on from his second marriage, forming a strong romantic bond with Eddie Murphy's ex-wife Nicole MurphyMichael and Murphy were engaged, but the engagement was called off in 2014 over distance and conflicting work schedules. Michael moved on to businesswoman Kayla Quick in 2015, and the pair are still an item to date.

May and June 2023 have been filled with celebration for the former pro footballer as his twin daughters, Isabella and Sophia Michael, closed the curtains on their high school phase. The sisters graduated two weeks apart, and the excited dad dedicated individual posts on Instagram to celebrate the girls' achievements.

On June 14, 2023, Isabella graduated from the Convent of the Sacred Heart in New York City. A picture in an Instagram post to celebrate the feat showed the father and daughter duo beaming with joy. In the caption, Michael announced that the high school graduate was headed to the University of Southern California for college.

"Out high school and on to USC!!! So proud of you," he wrote.

On May 27, 2023, Sophia graduated from Trinity School in New York City. To celebrate the milestone, the "Good Morning America" host paid tribute to his daughter with a post on Instagram, accompanied by an aww-worthy caption. He also revealed that Sophia is proceeding to Duke University in North Carolina for her university degree.

"My baby girl graduated!! I am so proud of you!! You are intelligent, beautiful, and I can't wait to see all the amazing things you will accomplish at Duke," he wrote

Michael is a father of four kids, and from the looks of things, the TV personality is excelling in his fatherhood journey. While fatherhood has been an interesting ride for the dad, he admitted in an appearance on "The Drew Barrymore Show" that raising his now teenage twin daughters has gotten "tough." However, despite the challenges being faced, Michael continues to do a great job. One can only hope he will experience many more beautiful moments and celebrations with his kids and family.
