Michael J. Fox, the famous actor, was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease at the very young age of 29. He admits his first reaction to the news was utter disbelief and denial that such a horrible thing could happen to him.

Currently age 58, Fox candidly admitted during an interview for Closer Weekly that he was surprised he was still able to work and that he wasn't completely disabled at this point.

"I was only supposed to work for another 10 years. I was supposed to be pretty much disabled by now. I’m far from it," he said.

He also set up a charitable foundation, the Michael J. Fox Foundation, that funds research into the causes and treatment of Parkinson's disease.

Fox worked on the show "Leo and Me" when he was only 15, and shockingly in addition to his Parkinson's diagnosis, three other individuals who worked on that show were also diagnosed with Parkinson's disease at fairly young ages, leading many to speculate they were exposed to some toxin on the set.
