If you grew up in the 80s, you are familiar with the iconic time-traveling duo Doc and Marty McFly.

The pair have reunited for a night of poker after nearly 35 years, and it’s for a good cause. Since launching The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s disease, Michael has held an annual poker tournament where he raises money for research and development for a cure.

Michael, 58, was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease  – a degenerative disorder that sees the brain progressively damaged over time – over 20 years ago. He had kept the diagnosis a secret before eventually breaking the news in 1998, soon creating his namesake foundation to help advance research into the disease.

Christopher, 81, and Michael starred in Back to the Future, a classic science fiction film from 1985. It was the top-grossing movie that year.

Both actors have uploaded photos of them at the poker night, with Michael captioning his picture with: "All in with @mrchristopherlloyd at @michaeljfoxorg Poker Night." Christopher followed that up with a caption of his own saying, "Going 88mph for the @michaeljfoxorg Poker Night!"

"People with Parkinson's have told me when they heard I was diagnosed, they were happy," Michael told People, explaining that it was because of the attention people knew he would bring. "I said, 'I get it'."

But don't get your hopes up for a reboot of Back to the Future to happen anytime soon. According to Metro, Thomas Wilson, who played the bully Biff Tannen in the movie, said: "Basically, I think America is saying, 'Come on, they've wrecked every other franchise with bad sequels, why not this one?' C'mon, we would watch it until it sucks."
