Kirk's son, Michael Douglas, revealed on Tuesday that his father did not want a big celebration for his upcoming 103rd birthday. Michael discussed the upcoming birthday on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," explaining that although they had a big bash for Kirk's 100th birthday, that will not be the case this time around.

The 75-year-old "The Kominsky Method" actor said that they would do something smaller for Kirk's birthday on December 9. Although the huge celebration for the 100th was a good time, Michael told Kimmel that Kirk requested a small dinner with just the family when he turns 103.

Kirk's wife, Anne Buydens, is also 100 years old even though she will not admit it. Michael said that she was been lying about her age for her entire life. This age fudging is typical from the French, Michael joked. Kirk and Anne have been married for 65 years.

During another recent interview with Jimmy Fallon on "The Tonight Show," Michael also discussed how much his dad has embraced technology, despite his senior age. Michael said that Kirk loves to FaceTime with people to stay connected. While he does not get around much physically, Michael said that his dad is still completely present mentally. Michael purchased an iPad for his dad and showed him how to work FaceTime so that he could video chat with his family.

Michael said that the only problem with Kirk's FaceTime knowledge is that his dad sometimes forgets about the time difference and calls him too late at night since Michael lives on the East Coast and Kirk is three hours behind him on the West Coast.

It is sweet to see how lovingly Michael talks about his father. He is clearly adored by his family.
