Michael Bublé And Rod Stewart Take Christmas Song To The Next Level By Adding Choreography

If you love old-time classic romantic crooners, then you have definitely heard of Rod Stewart. For decades, 78-year-old Stewart has romanced the microphone with songs from almost every genre, but his renditions of old classic love songs have to be his finest work.

Meanwhile, Michael Bublé may have been performing for a shorter period of time, but he has already become acclaimed as one of the most romantic crooners of his generation. Before the 46-year-old even opens his mouth to sing, his dapper suits and mesmerizing eyes have already sealed the deal for many people out there.

But when you put the two of them together, you've got a recipe for undeniable charm. They are from different generations and may have different musical styles, but the one thing that they have in common is their ability to break hearts when they sing.

The duo came together in 2012 to flirt with the camera and bounce energy off of each other when they performed a duet of "Winter Wonderland" to celebrate Christmas. The duet was part of Bublé's "Home for the Holidays" television special that aired on NBC. Unsurprisingly, with the amount of talent and charm the pair has together, their performance was an instant hit and it quickly went viral.

Although they aren't actually close friends, to watch them you would think they are old friends who have performed together for years. Perhaps it's their signature romantic styles that were the reason behind why they meshed so well together. In any case, their performance is a must-see.

The performance has a delightfully relaxed atmosphere. As the two icons stand on stage together, which is decorated in a gorgeous Christmas theme, the band sits behind them. Even though they're both dressed up in suits, their personalities shine through in how they present themselves. Bublé looked dapper as always with a skinny tie and a slick hairdo, while Stewart, who still has his rocker edge, left his bowtie undone, which lent a casual, relaxed feel to his image.

Once they began to sing, it was clear that Bublé and Stewart's voices, although different, fit together perfectly. Bublé's voice is incredibly versatile, which means he can sing in both the baritone and tenor ranges. His voice is also perfect for Christmas music, which would explain why his album "Christmas" is one of the highest-grossing Christmas albums of all time according to Billboard.

Meanwhile, Stewart is well known for his raspy, croaky voice that has been hailed as incredibly sexy. Classic, yet timeless, Stewart hasn't lost any of his charisma through the decades. Like a fine wine, he has only improved with age. Together, the pair were able to hit all different kinds of notes when they sang "Winter Wonderland" and it lent a very mature feel to the Christmas classic.

At first, the pair took turns and sang different verses but then they harmonized together and it was pure magic. Bublé's smooth singing style was given grit and weight thanks to Stewart's rasp and the result was a Christmas song that felt just right for adults.

What's more, their performance was even more enticing thanks to the unchoreographed dance moves they did while singing. Their movements added a fun feel to the song, which made it really seem as if they casually decided to sing together in front of the fire on Christmas night. The music and their energy together really brought a relaxed atmosphere to the performance despite it being a formal event.

With over 2.7 million views on YouTube, it's clear that people out there loved Bublé and Stewart's rendition of the Christmas classic. One commenter wrote:

Many others agreed how wonderful the harmony was between Bublé and Stewart. Meanwhile, others absolutely loved the key change halfway through the song. And some even said it was the best iteration of "Winter Wonderland," despite the fact it's been covered so many times. One comment said:

"This is the best version of this song. Nobody else comes close IMO"

Written in 1934 by Felix Bernard, with lyrics by Richard Bernhard Smith, the song is considered a classic Christmas song in the northern hemisphere due to its seasonal theme. Originally recorded by Richard Himber, it's since been covered by more than 200 artists, some of which include Guy Lombardo, Ella Fitzgerald and Doris Day, as well as more recent artists like Robbie Williams, Leona Lewis and Selena Gomez
