One way to showcase the incredible vocals of Freddie Mercury is to separate them from the musical instruments. This is what the YouTube channel Playback.fm has done. You can appreciate his vocal talent so much more by listening to it alone.

If you appreciate Queen's music, you have to take the time to listen to a master at work singing "We Are the Champions." You will be glad you did and have a greater appreciation to Freddie's amazing talent. From the first phrase, you will be in awe of his vocal power.

By isolating Freddie Mercury's vocals, you have a chance to hear the powerful, and almost ethereal vocal range and talent. The video combines clips from Queen concerts in combination with Freddie's amazing solo voice to put you there at the concert.

The video will put you back to 1985 at the Live Aid concert that many music publications have declared as the best ever.

Unfortunately, due to his health issues from contracting HIV, Freddie Mercury became weaker, tired, and more feeble. But this did not keep him from continuing to perform to thousands of devoted and excited fans.

He kept on "fighting 'til the end" just as the song lyrics state. He was devoted to performing and making great music. His last appearance in public was at London's Dominion Theater in 1990 accepting the Outstanding Contribution to Music award.

He passed away in November 1991 and will be a cherished memory to his many fans.

You be the judge. Be sure to tell your friends about it to let them experience it as well. What did you think of this performance? Do you still love Queen as much as we do? Let us know!
