Men Play Haunting Version Of “Unchained Melody” On Pan Pipes

Two brothers formed a band named Inka Gold that showcases popular songs using some of their unique culture and traditions. These performers, who are named Oscar Andrews and Pablo Santiago Morales Vega, were born in the Andes Mountains of Ecuador but later moved to New Mexico to make their home.

While they might be living in the United States now, they haven’t given up their proud tradition or roots. Their unique version of "Unchained Melody" here gained millions of viewers on social media, in a testament to their amazing musicianship.

If you listen to any music at all, then you’ve probably heard someone perform the “Unchained Melody”.  From the Righteous Brothers to Elvis, Neil Diamond to U2, everyone seems to want to try their voice or instrument with this song. The brothers started their music career while they were just kids after Oscar learned to play the pan flutes and Santiago perfected the string instruments. They used their musical skills as boys touring Europe.

Oscar was the first to head to the United States in 1998 with his brother following two years later according to their website.

The duo use their talents to perform with traditional instruments while showcase not only the songs of their forefathers but also more modern music pieces including popular favorites like “Amazing Grace” and “The Sound of Silence”.

While the two men have been popular their entire lives, their recent performance of “Unchained Melody” has skyrocketed them into fame. They posted the video online and everyone that sees it loves it.

The video isn’t fancy or filled with impressive visual aids; instead, it’s simply the two men dressed in plain clothing on a small stage. But, as soon as they start blowing into their bamboo instruments, it feels like so much more!
