Meghan Markle's Half-Sister Accuses The Duchess Of Doing 'Great Harm' After Stepping Down From Royal Family

Meghan Markle's half-sister Samantha Markle criticized the royal for stepping down as a senior member of the royal family. The sisters share the same father, Thomas Markle, who has also scrutinized Meghan in the media. 

Both Thomas Markle and Samantha Markle are estranged from the Duchess and have given a series of interviews to the media where they reveal details about Meghan. Most recently, Samantha wrote a piece for The Sun where she condemned her sister's actions amid the Megxit negotiations:

"My sister has ripped through the Royal Family like a tornado. With this historic institution close to collapse, we have to ask whether peace can really be found," Samantha wrote.

Although Samantha has tried to apologize to Meghan on television after giving revealing interviews, she didn't hold back over the Duchess' recent decision to not be apart of the royal family. "Nothing about their actions so far suggest they truly desire a private life out of the limelight," Samantha wrote. "They have paraded themselves on the red carpet, tried to make deals with Disney, and become pals with the Clooneys and other A-list stars."

Samantha does not believe Meghan and Harry will be able to find "true happiness" away from the Royal Family. "Meghan’s goals are not consistent with those of the Royal Family," Samantha continued. "Personally, I don’t believe she ever expected to fit in with the strict structures and traditions of the Windsor household. Even after marrying she kept her lawyer and publicity adviser, suggesting she wasn’t willing to sever her ties with her old life."

"Perhaps she always had the idea to return to her life as an actress and lifestyle influencer."

Samantha said, "There is no doubt that the decision of Prince Harry and Meghan to quit their duties so soon after their fairytale wedding has done great harm. It would have been better if discord had never been sown."

Even after bashing her sister throughout the article Samantha contemplated if Meghan could heal from counseling and be able to find peace. "I loved my sister, but I do not like the person she has become," Samantha ended her article.
