During her appearance at the Robert Clack Upper School in London, Meghan Markle gave a speech in which she advised young men to "appreciate the women in [their] lives." The International Women's Day visit was a part of her final royal engagements before stepping down as working royals with her husband Harry at the end of March.

The Duchess of Sussex, 38, gave some advice to the young boys studying at Robert Clack Upper School in London. In her speech for International Women's Day, Meghan addressed the male students directly, despite the audience being of both genders. The mother of one urged them in her statement about how to treat women:

"Continue to value and appreciate the women in your lives, and also set the examples for some men who are not seeing it that same way."

As a mother herself, Meghan also mentioned why the schoolboys should value their mothers. Markle said in her speech:

"You have your mothers, sisters, girlfriends, friends in your life—protect them."

Meghan's speech came after the head schoolboy, Aker Okoye, gave the Duchess and former American actress a hug and said:

"She's really beautiful innit. I had to say that. I had to speak the truth here."

Meghan's visit included not only making the speech to the student body but talking with teachers as well. This also was not the first time that Markle had marked International Women's Day. Last year, she gave a speech at King's College in London and year prior, she attended a social enterprise gathering with her husband Prince Harry.

The royal engagement was one of Meghan's last before she and her husband Prince Harry step down as senior working royals. The Megxit change is supposed to take effect April 1st.
