The Duchess of Sussex has teamed up with feminist icon Gloria Steinem for a new video, in which the two women discuss representation, voting, and women. The black-and-white video even has guest appearances from Meghan and Prince Harry's two dogs Guy and Pula. Filmed at a gorgeous property, the outdoor location is the perfect relaxed spot for the two women to chat, and the full video will be released today, Wednesday, August 26th.

Released on the MAKERS Women Instagram page, a short snippet of Meghan and Gloria's catch-up was teased ahead of the full Q&A, which will be released on Wednesday. Shot in classic black-and-white, the carefree atmosphere of the video is apparent as the two women sit in the stunning backyard. Perched on wooden deck chairs and separated by a table, the grass is at their feet, while Meghan and Harry's two dogs, Guy and Pula, make adorable appearances—it's the epitome of relaxed living, and while Meghan and Harry recently moved to Santa Barbara, it's not clear whether this is their new home.
The teaser video is captioned:
"Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex and Gloria Steinem discuss representation, why each vote matters and how all women 'are linked, not ranked.' MAKERS has an exclusive look at that historic backyard chat!"
Gloria Steinem, author and a leader of the feminist movement since the 1960s, tells Meghan: "Meg, welcome home. I'm so glad that you're home." Meghan replied that she's happy to be back "for some many reasons."

The conversation then got serious, talking about women's rights, voting, and why everyone's voice matters. Meghan discussed Gloria's work in the feminist movement, explaining:
"People forget how hard women like you and so many others before you fought for us to just be where we are right now."
Gloria replied with a simple, "If you don't vote, you don't exist. It is the only place we're all equal, the voting booth." She went on to explain her worries about young people especially, not taking voting so seriously. She said:
"What worries me the most are young people, who I understand are the least likely to vote and I can understand the feeling that they don't think they have an impact. Yet, it's more important for them to vote than anyone else because they're going to be alive long after I am, and they're going to be suffering the consequences."
Meghan asked her if she feels hopeful, to which Gloria replied, "I do feel hopeful." The full backyard conversation is set to be released today.
On the topic of voting, Meghan recently announced she will be voting in this year's US election, as she shared her reason for heading to the voting booth with 99 other women for Marie Claire. As reported by People, she said:
"I know what it's like to have a voice, and also what it's like to feel voiceless. I also know that so many men and women have put their lives on the line for us to be heard. And that opportunity, that fundamental right, is in our ability to exercise our right to vote and to make all of our voices heard."
While speaking last week at "The 19th Represents" virtual summit, Meghan shared that Prince Harry has never been able to vote before, as part of the royal family staying neutral in government elections. Meghan spoke about hoping to see change following the elections in November but stopped short of endorsing any specific party or candidate.
