Since Matilda was the winner of the annual Wellchild awards, she was allotted more time to get to know Meghan and Harry. In an effort to express her gratitude for their visit, Matilda offered the Duchess some hand-picked flowers.
Warmed by the girl’s sweet gesture, Meghan accepted the bouquet with thanks. Harry matched his wife’s enthusiasm and repeatedly thanked Matilda for her random act of kindness.
While the three got to know one another, they exchanged funny anecdotes, personal stories, and smiles galore. Harry was quick to compliment Matilda on her infectious positivity. Meghan later told Matilda that her smile was breathtaking and that she should never stop believing. Their heartfelt sentiments humbled Matilda.
Before parting ways, Harry plucked a flower out of Meghan’s gifted bouquet and gave it to Matilda. It’s safe to say that Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry had an impact on Matilda that she’ll remember for many years to come.
