Meghan Markle Seen As "Just Like Diana" When She Makes Secret Visit To Charity

Fans drew similarities between the late Princess Diana and Meghan Markle as the Duchess secretly visited an animal shelter in London before jetting back to Canada. Meghan looked emotionally touched as she visited the animal shelter which is located in Kensal Green, North West London and takes care of cats and dogs and helps find the animals' homes.

On the Sussex Royal Instagram account they wrote about the organization and Meghan's visit saying, "Earlier this month, The Duchess of Sussex popped in to see the amazing people at Mayhew to hear about the incredible progress made throughout the festive period." Meghan is the patron of the animal shelter and surprise-visited the organization while she was briefly in London.

"The Duchess of Sussex, having been proud patron of Mayhew since January 2019 and long understanding the connection between animal and community welfare, applauds the people at Mayhew for the vital work that they do every day," Sussex Royal continued. "From cats and dogs who have found new homes to animal welfare cases handled in the community - The Mayhew believes in the power of togetherness and the special bond between humans and animals."

Some supporters commented on the post with pictures of Meghan and animals saying, "A human, just like Diana," while another said, "Good for her she does an amazing job for charities. Wishing them both peace and happiness in their new lives."

Taking to their official Instagram account, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex posted a statement earlier this month announcing they “intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and “work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen.”

The couple added that they will be splitting their time between the Prince’s native United Kingdom and North America and will be announcing the launch of their new charitable entity in the near future.

US public relations guru Ronn Torossian said to the Mirror that by walking away from the sovereign grant the couple can now get “any endorsement deals in the world they may want." Additionally, because the duke and duchess will not be bound to royal work, they are open to make lucrative deals and have commercial sponsorships.
