In 2025, Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, turns 44 after another year of highlights that caught the eye of fans worldwide. This year, the public was treated to an inside view of their private life due to the Duchess’s return to Instagram at the beginning of the year and the launch of her Netflix documentary, “With Love, Meghan.” 

Despite stepping back from royal duties in 2020, Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, remain subjects of global interest. In August 2022, Meghan debuted her podcast, “Archetypes,” which featured interviews with celebrities, historians, and experts about the typical stereotypes used against women. However, the podcast was canceled the following year.

What’s worse, the link is situated directly under the scandal-ridden Prince Andrew.

In May 2024, Meghan made headlines after Welsh artist Dan Llywelyn Hall chose her as one of the subjects of his latest paintings. His portrait of Meghan showed her as Dame Elizabeth Grey, also known as Elizabeth Woodville, who married into the British royal family and became Queen of England in 1464. Some took issue with the comparison and said:

“Quite terrible, poor Elizabeth Woodville will be turning in her grave.” 

On her 43rd birthday in 2024, Meghan celebrated quietly with a cherished family affair at their Montecito home, according to Grazia.

The year 2025 marked her return to social media on the fourth anniversary of their move from Canada to California​. In February 2025, Meghan unveiled her lifestyle brand As Ever, previously known as American Riviera Orchard. The rebrand was announced, with Meghan stating that the change was partly due to trademark issues.

However, her Netflix series “With Love, Meghan,” released on March 4, 2025, received mixed reviews despite attracting 5.3 million global views. It ranked only 383rd among Netflix’s most-watched content for the first half of the year, with a second season reportedly in the works.
