Meghan Markle Needs A Lesson On How To Cradle Archie Say Critics

Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle recently stepped out in one of her first appearances since giving birth. She was at the Billingbear Polo Club in Berkshire to support her husband Prince Harry’s charity polo match.

It was a casual family outing, and she brought the young Prince Archie with her as well. It was a delight to see the two together, but some members of the public are questioning her mothering abilities and the way she holds her baby.

Photographers caught Meghan, Archie, and other members of the royal family on the perimeter of the polo grounds, enjoying the day. Meghan was dressed in a chic olive green maxi dress and strolled around with Archie in her arms giving him lots of love and kisses.

While the photos made their way around the Internet, online commenters decided to chime in and say that she “needs a lesson on how to hold a baby,” and that she looked “uncomfortable.”

Meghan’s fans beg to differ, however, and they came to her defense by saying “Every[one] needs to stop giving Megan a hard time. She is a new mom,” and “Seriously give Meagan a break.”

But it’s not just members of the general public—it seems like doctors are on Team Meghan too. Pediatrician Dr. Jen Trachtenberg told the press that Meghan was doing everything right in the recent photos.

“There is no one right way to hold a baby,” She told TODAY. “You want to make sure the baby is secure and that’s exactly what Meghan was doing. She’s holding him tightly with two arms. He’s not crying and he’s not uncomfortable.”

Additionally, Dr. David L. Hill is also in agreement. He cites the baby’s age as a determining factor.

“I imagine that people were concerned that she was not cradling the baby’s head adequately," he told TODAY. “But in general, at two months of age, there is enough head control that you don't have to constantly cradle the head."

So what do you think? Are online trolls mom-shaming poor Meghan too much or does she really need to take mom classes?
