Meghan Markle Lands Her First Big Gig Since Giving Birth to Baby Archie

Meghan Markle is not letting her new motherly duties slow down her work life. According to a source from Entertainment Tonight, the Duchess of Sussex will be in the September issue of British Vogue.

The former Suits star recently welcomed a new baby boy in May with her husband, Prince Harry. The new mom has stayed out of the limelight since taking on her role as a devoted mother to her son, whom she and Harry named ‘Archie.’

Royal expert Katie Nicholl told ET, “Meghan's been up in the night nursing, feeding on demand every few hours; apparently he's a hungry little baby."

However, even with Meghan caring for her new son that hasn’t slowed her down from work. According to ET’s source, “the new mom has been working with editor Edward Enninful on her vision for the issue, which will highlight a number of women's humanitarian accomplishments around the world and other causes close to her heart.” However, it has not been confirmed whether she will appear in the British magazine.

Meghan opened up about her relationship with Prince Harry back in 2017 with Vanity Fair when she appeared on the cover of their October issue.

“I can tell you that at the end of the day I think it’s really simple,” she said in the magazine. “We’re two people who are really happy and in love. We were very quietly dating for about six months before it became news, and I was working during that whole time, and the only thing that changed was people’s perception. Nothing about me changed. I’m still the same person that I am, and I’ve never defined myself by my relationship.”

Now almost two years later Meghan and Harry are happily married with their new baby boy Archie. Although Meghan is officially on maternity leave that hasn't stopped her from making plans for the future.

From actress to duchess, the new mom wastes no time fulfilling her royal duties. According to ITV, later this year, the young parents will travel to Africa to follow in late Princess Diana's footsteps and carry out her humanitarian work on the continent.
