The Duchess of Sussex has no plans for slowing down even while on maternity leave. The new mother is getting set to launch her new capsule wardrobe collection to benefit one of her royal charities, Smart Works. The primary goal of her project is to help and ease the transition of women getting back into the workforce.
The actress turned royal talked about her new collection in the upcoming issue of British Vogue which she has guest-edited according to royal reporter Omid Scobie. Scobie tweeted that Meghan wrote in the issue about her project,
“For each item purchased by a customer, one is donated to charity. Not only does this allow us to be part of each other’s story, it reminds us we are in it together.”

Earlier this year she met with the Smart Works Headquarters to discuss future plans for the charity. The Duchess said during her meeting at Smart Works, "It's not just donating your clothes and seeing where they land, it's really being part of each other's success stories as women."
Meghan added, "It’s not just hand-me-downs, it's saying ‘Ok this was the blazer I wore that helped me land that interview and I want this to be the piece that helps this woman have that be part of her story.’”
Scobie also revealed that since Duchess Meghan has undertaken Smart Works as one of her royal patronages the charity has been able to help more women. “The charity has been growing rapidly since Meghan became patron,” Scobie wrote. “In February they helped 187 women in London alone (47% more than this time last year)."
We can’t wait for Meghan’s collection to launch so it can help women with transitioning back to work while looking and feeling their best.
