Meghan Markle Gives First Glimpse Of Family Life In England As Archie’s Accent Grabs Attention

Meghan Markle has shared a warm glimpse of family life in England following her return to the United Kingdom with Prince Harry and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Harry and Meghan arrived in the U.K. on Aug. 26, 2026, after traveling from California. ITV News reported that the couple landed at Birmingham Airport and understood that Archie and Lilibet were with them.
The move marked a significant change for the family. Archie was born in London in 2019, while Lilibet was born in California in 2021. PEOPLE reported that both children would attend school in Britain, giving them a stronger day-to-day connection to the country where their father grew up. The couple also planned to keep their Montecito, California, home while establishing a private, non-royal base in Britain.
Their return does not mean a return to official royal duties. Buckingham Palace confirmed in 2020 that Harry and Meghan had stepped back as working members of the Royal Family. The Royal Family’s official website continues to state that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are no longer working members of the institution.
According to PEOPLE, settling Archie and Lilibet has been the couple’s priority. A source told the publication, “They are happy to be back.”
For Harry, living in Britain gives his children more exposure to the culture and family history that shaped his own upbringing. It also places him closer to longstanding U.K. charitable commitments, including his work connected with the Invictus Games and WellChild. For Meghan, the arrangement allows Archie and Lilibet to experience both British and American life while the family maintains ties to California.

In a Sept. 13, 2026 Instagram Reel, Meghan posted a 35-second montage featuring relaxed moments with her husband, their children and the family’s dogs, Pula and Mia. The clip opened with Meghan and Harry walking hand in hand outdoors before moving through scenes of muddy walks, time by the fire and the children enjoying the countryside.
One moment drew particular attention. Lilibet was shown riding a bicycle while Archie ran beside her and called, “Go! Go!” PEOPLE described the 7-year-old’s pronunciation as sounding distinctly British. Because the clip contained only two brief words, however, it was not enough to determine Archie’s overall accent with certainty. The moment is better understood as a playful snapshot than proof of a lasting change in the way he speaks.
The montage also showed Harry, Archie and Lilibet fishing from a boat, while Wham!’s “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go” plays in the background. A Union Jack emoji and a red heart remain visible at the top of the video, adding a clear nod to the family’s surroundings.
The post offered one of Meghan’s clearest public snapshots of the Sussex family settling into England. It also reflected the careful balance Harry and Meghan have maintained around their children: sharing occasional family moments while generally keeping Archie and Lilibet’s faces and private routines away from public view. The result was a personal-looking family update that revealed the atmosphere of their life without disclosing much about the children themselves.
The family’s new chapter is therefore less about returning to their former royal roles and more about building a life spanning both countries. Meghan’s video captures that transition through small, carefully selected moments: muddy boots, bike rides, fishing trips and quiet time together outdoors.
