The survey, conducted by The Mirror, had the 37-year old Duchess of Sussex topping the list. She has come under serious criticism for a number of things since her marriage to Prince Harry in 2018, from her nail polish to how she carried baby Archie.

In an interview with ITV for a documentary called Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, Meghan opened up about the intense spotlight she has come under. The documentary followed Meghan and Harry throughout their royal tour of Africa. Meghan harped on the incessant and often negative press coverage from some sections of the media - had made things harder at a time she was already “really vulnerable.”

She told Tom Bradby during the interview that being a mother with a newborn made her that much more vulnerable. She nearly cried when admitting she’s “not ok,” and that the past year had been “really challenging.”

While everyone will have a different opinion, it’s clear many Brits agree her year has not been stellar. According to Meghan, joining a royal family can be difficult, adding, “not many people have asked if I’m OK. But it’s a very real thing to be going through behind the scenes."

Contrasting those personal difficulties was the enthusiasm the couple publicly displayed throughout the trip for the documentary, including an inspiring visit as the 10-day tour began in South Africa.

However, she is far from the only royal on the list. The Queen herself made number three for her issues, from the Prince Andrew scandal to Boris Johnson asking her to suspend parliament.
