As details of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s departure as senior Royals are finalized, the Buckingham Palace has revealed when we should expect their very last Royal engagement to be.

The Sussexes are due to reunite with Prince William, Kate Middleton, the Queen, the Duchess of Cornwall, and Prince Charles next week for the Annual Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey.

According to the Daily Mail, this year’s Commonwealth Day service will mark the last Royal engagement to be carried out by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex before they cease their roles as senior Royals.

Prince Harry’s brother the Duke of Cambridge will reportedly be giving a speech at the ceremony.

The event will also be the first public engagement they will carry out together since announcing they will be ‘stepping back’ as senior Royals earlier this year.

Although the couple seemingly wished to retain their Royal titles and continue carrying out Royal engagements while being financially independent, this was not deemed a plausible outcome by the Palace.

Prince Harry and Meghan have been living in Canada since November last year and have returned to the UK last week for a final tour.

Prince Harry will be attending the endeavor fund awards, will visit Silverstone with Lewis Hamilton and attend the Mountbatten music festival alongside Meghan Markle. Meghan will also take part in International Women’s Day tributes before Commonwealth day.
