This Monday, Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and son Prince Archie touched ground in Cape Town, South Africa, kicking off their 10-day-tour of Africa. The tour is one of Markle’s first Royal Duties since taking time off for maternity leave.

This morning, the Royal couple made a stop to meet the remarkable Archbishop Desmond Tutu, a meeting that also marked Archie’s first official engagement.

The royal family was there to meet the Archbishop along with his daughter Thandeka Tutu Gxashe to learn more about The Desmond & Leah Tutu Legacy Foundation.

In an Instagram post of Harry, Meghan, baby Archie, and the Archbishop, he is described as “a globally respected figure in the anti-apartheid movement, is one of the world’s great champions of equality, and has spent his life tirelessly battling injustice.”

The group sat down for tea and some chatting and smiles, as Thandeka described adorable 4-month-old Archie as a “ladies man.” Meghan said her son was an “old soul,” and Harry noted that he’s already used to the cameras, as per The Telegraph.

The 87-year-old Nobel Peace Prize-winning Archbishop Tutu who led the charge against apartheid with Nelson Mandela has remained as an outspoken activist through his work at the foundation. He was quoted as saying he was “thrilled” by the "rare privilege and honor” of meeting the family.

The family is stopping off on several other engagements as they continue on their 10-day tour. Harry will leave his family to go to Botswana, Angola, and Malawi, and then return back to Johannesburg.

It’s one of the first glimpses of the adorable royal baby Archie. What do you think about his official engagement debut? Tell the royal fan in your life about the “Arch meets Archie” event.
