Meet Elvis & Priscilla Presley’s 'Wonderful' Granddaughters Who Inherited Their Famous Looks

Lisa Marie Presley was born nine months after her parents famously tied the knot in a brief ceremony in their suite at the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas. After Elvis died in 1977, she was listed as a beneficiary on her father’s last will, along with her grandfather Vernon and great-grandmother Minnie. However, Vernon passed in 1979, and Minnie a year after. This made Lisa the only surviving beneficiary of Elvis’s trust. In 1993, she inherited her father’s estate, which had grown to $100 million.

Born on Feb. 1, 1968, in Memphis, Tenessee, to parents Elvis and Priscilla Presley, Lisa was one of the most prominent celebrity children upon her birth. However, she passed at the age of 54 on Jan. 12, 2023, after being rushed to the emergency room when she was found unresponsive in her California home.

According to TMZ sources close to the scene, Lisa was pronounced dead on Jan. 12, 2023, after she was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital, where she was taken after suffering cardiac arrest.

Her housekeeper had found her unresponsive in her Calabasas, California, residence. Her ex-husband, Danny Keough, was present at the scene and performed CPR on her until emergency first responders arrived. Paramedics reported that she had regained a pulse before she was transported to the hospital, but she eventually passed.

Before Lisa’s death, she welcomed four children: Riley Keough, Benjamin Keough, Harper, and Finley Lockwood. Sadly, Benjamin also passed away, leaving Riley and the Lockwood sisters. As the years go by, the resemblance they bear similarities with their mother, grandfather, and grandmother have become more apparent as they age.

Lisa was Elvis’s only daughter, so her children were his only grandchildren. She had actress Riley and her late son Benjamin with her ex-husband, Danny Keough, a musician from Chicago, whom she married in 1988 when she was 20. She welcomed her twins, Harper and Finley, with her ex-husband, Michael Lockwood. Lisa’s life has been troubled since she was born. After her parents divorced, her father died from a heart attack at 42 when she was just nine. On July 12, 2020, it was reported that Benjamin had died after a suicide attempt at the age of 27. He was found with a gunshot wound in his torso.

Lisa died three years after the loss of her son, leaving behind her three daughters. When Elvis died in 1977, he assigned Lisa to be the sole heir of his estate, but Lisa, who was nine years old then, could not handle the inheritance until she was 25. When she turned 25 in 1993, the trust was dissolved. She then formed the Elvis Presley Estate to manage Graceland throughout the years.

According to ABC, Lisa sold 85% of Elvis Presley Enterprises, the trust’s business entity, while leaving the remaining 15% to herself. However, she retained ownership of the entire Graceland mansion and its contents, including her father's cars, costumes, and awards. The musician, who had been the sole trustee of Elvis’s estate, left the whole estate to her eldest daughter, Riley, upon her death. However, a battle to contest the legitimacy of Lisa’s will ensued between Riley and her grandmother, Priscilla. Riley eventually won the suit and became the sole trustee of Elvis’s estate in May 2023.

Meanwhile, Michael became the legal guardian for his twin daughters with Lisa in April 2023. However, Priscilla's picture revealed that the twins maintain a close relationship with their sister and grandmother. Priscilla shared a rare photo of herself and all three of Lisa’s daughters on Instagram on June 16, 2023, together to mark the twins’ graduation from middle school.  The proud grandmother captioned the photo:

“Happy Graduation girls! You’re now in high school!!! ❤️❤️.”

In the picture, Lisa’s daughters wore black shirts accentuated by their bold hair colors. One had blonde hair, while the other wore her hair red like Priscilla. They also bore an uncanny resemblance to their grandfather, Elvis. Meanwhile, Priscilla sported a yellow print dress and stood near Riley, who wore a blue striped shirt and a straw hat. The occasion was a bittersweet one for the family, seeing that Lisa, who died six months before her daughters’ graduation, was absent. However, it proved that the Elvis family was mending any rifts that may have existed in their relationship, and fans loved it.

Per E! News, Priscilla also shared updates about her stance and her family’s progress in court documents. “My January 2023 petition was misconstrued in the press as a ‘fight’ over my beloved daughter’s trust,” the June 13 filing read. “That was not the intent,” she clarified. “My daughter’s passing was both devastating and heartbreaking. We have learned that the fans realize that we are ‘Just A Family.’” Priscilla continued:

“Elvis would be proud and his and Lisa’s wishes are what are most important to all of us. My granddaughter, through her counsel, along with my team worked diligently and tirelessly to resolve all misunderstandings as a family.”

Priscilla has previously opened up to Us Weekly about her growing granddaughters in 2017, sharing rare insights into what it’s like watching them blossom over the years. She couldn’t help but gush when talking about the twins, Harper and Finley, who were still quite young at the time but already showing signs of their unique personalities. She said: “It’s great, it’s absolutely great. I love it, I love it.” She then gushed about Harper and Finley:

“Having twins is quite an experience, I have to say. Both of them are very different. Wonderful kids, wonderful children.”

For Priscilla, who has always cherished family, the experience of seeing her daughter Lisa Marie’s children grow up was something truly special. Definitely, having twins in the household is something different. She described the two as having “different personalities,” noting how each girl brought her own charm and energy into every moment they shared.

In a 2019 interview with the same outlet, Priscilla talked about how her granddaughters have become adept with technology and how quickly they were adapting to the modern world: “I can’t believe they are so smart (with technology).” She added, “I mean, they can handle the phone better than I can. They know how to Google already, they know how to draw things and characters, and oh, my gosh. They’re just little girls experiencing life and having fun.”

Before Lisa Marie passed away, she told CMT that the late King of Rock and Roll’s spirit lives in his grandchildren and that she wanted fans to see that. She shared with the outlet: "They've all got a little bit of him in them. They all have their own little traits, and I can just sense it, you know?"
