Meet Blosom, The Tallest Cow On Earth - Standing Six Feet Two Inches Tall

If you have every come face-to-face with a cow, then you know that they can get to be pretty big. However, you will probably be shocked when you see the winner of the "tallest cow ever" category in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Patty Meads-Hanson is the owner of Blosom, the famed Guinness World Record holder. She made the title after being measured at 6 feet, 2 inches tall. She is actually taller than her owner!  Blosom is a female Holstein cow. Her claim to fame was being able to grow taller than many humans. It is truly amazing to see her compared to her owner.

If you are wondering how big a normal Holstein cow can get, most cows stand about 58 inches from their hooves to their shoulders according to the Holstein Association USA. Blosom is an astounding 74.8 inches tall. She is so tall that her vet had to fetch a stepladder in order to give her a checkup. Patty told the Guinness World Records that Blosom has always been unaffected by the attention she gets from her size. She loves her oats and enjoys ear scratches. Other than that, this cow just goes about her day!

Sadly, Blosom passed away in 2015 after succumbing to an irreparable leg injury. She died about a year after winning the world record. However, Blosom still holds the title, even in death.

Patty's father was the one to originally suggest that Blosom could be the tallest cow in the world. He was astonished to watch her grow taller and taller as the years went on. After confirming that she is the tallest cow in the world. Guinness sent their film crew out to video her. We are so glad that Blosom enjoyed a happy life while she was alive. We're also wondering when her record will be beaten. It certainly doesn't seem as if it will anytime soon.
