Introducing Aston–The 2,800 Pound Bull That Sees Himself As A Horse

As a male calf born on a small cattle farm in France, Aston was originally destined to be slaughtered for meat, but after forming a bond with a horse trainer, he became a showjumping bull instead. In a video posted to Aston's YouTube channel earlier this year, viewers can witness the bull's amazing showjumping skills.

Aston the bull thinks he is a horse if his mannerisms are anything to go by. Born and raised on a small farm in France, the farmer was to fatten Aston for the slaughterhouse, but he showed a distinct behavior, according to the Mirror.

He developed a connection with Sabine Rouas, a local horse trainer, and that is how Aston escaped the slaughterhouse. He might have been lucky, or it was meant to be for him.

According to SWNS, Aston and Sabine Rouas met seven years ago. When they met, Sabine was working on a cow farm near Aston’s home.

She liked the newborn calf and they developed a bond that has lasted to today. From the bond, she felt obliged to save Aston from the slaughterhouse and convinced the farmer to sell her the calf.

When Sabine took the calf home, she raised her together with her horse, Samy, the Mirror reports.

Although the calf was supposed to eat and stay home as a pet, Sabine noted that the calf was learning the skills she was teaching Samy. Because the two animals were raised together, it was easy for Aston to pick up the tricks Sabine was teaching Samy.

Aston first learned to follow voice commands. Sabine told Mirror that would talk to Aston the same way she did Samy and they both obeyed. She then started walking Aston just as one would walk their pet, and the bond they had continued growing.

The idea to ride him came when Aston was finally big enough to handle an adult’s weight, and that is when she started training him like a horse.

It was not easy to teach Aston at first. Sabine saw it challenging to get a 2,800-pound bull to start acting like a horse. However, having grown alongside a horse, Aston was receptive and Sabine did not give up on him.

To fully train Aston, Sabine needed a year. After a year, Aston was comfortable to walk and run with Sabine on his back. After learning to ride, he learned showjumping tricks, and he became a complete horse in the body of a bull.

Metro explains that to Sabine, the bull makes her happy, and their bond has since grown. The bull also feels proud seeing that it has made her happy, and the bond that the two have is almost unbreakable.

The seven years they have spent together have been full of lessons for him. Today, the bull might not think of himself as anything less than a horse.

Aston now has his Instagram page where Sabine posts his everyday escapades. Animal lovers love the massive bull who behaves like anything other than a bull. He is as friendly as he is skilled and this can be seen on the Instagram posts that Sabine puts up.

The page is full of the videos and photos of Aston behaving like a horse and living the life of a horse. He seems to be having fun through it all and his trainer has even more fun.

For the time he has been on Instagram, he has garnered more than 10,000 followers and so many likes on his videos and photos, and this has made him so popular on Instagram and other social platforms where his videos are shared. Most of the people adore his skills as seen in the comments section on his posts.

Most of his videos have garnered tens of thousands of views, making him a celebrity on those streets. If all the emojis he receives would make him happy, Aston has received enough to stay happy.
