Meals Actress Jennifer Aniston Says She Typically Eats Daily

Jan 08, 2021 by apost team

It is crazy to think that Jennifer Aniston turns 52 years old in early 2021. The "Friends" star still looks as foxy as ever, and the world does not seem like it will ever tire of marveling in her beauty — plus, she has got an infectious personality to boot. Everyone loves her! So it really is no wonder why she broke a Guinness World Record for (finally) creating her very own Instagram account in October 2019.

Loyal fans already know that Aniston regularly practices yoga (and has been for more than 10 years now), meditates, and sticks to a strict skin-care regimen to keep herself looking youthful and radiant. But now people would like to know what else she does to keep herself healthy and looking beautiful. The simple answer — we have found out it is a super healthy diet. Okay, maybe not super healthy. Read on to find out what the Hollywood A-lister eats in a day!

She Broke The Internet With Just One Group Photo

Aniston made her fans’ dream a reality when she finally created an Instagram account in October 2019 after not having any social media at all previously. And she started it off with a bang. According to Business Insider, Aniston "broke" Instagram when she created a profile on the platform, garnering 16.5 million followers in just the first ten days. As if her first day as an Instagrammer was not impressive enough, the actress had also amassed an incredible 8.6 million-plus followers just after posting a selfie with her old co-stars from her the sitcom "Friends." And that was not all. Aniston held the record for the fastest time an Instagram account reached one million followers in 5 hours and 16 minutes, overtaking Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle, whose Instagram page @sussexroyal reached 1 million followers in 5 hours and 45 minutes. Sir David Attenborough would go on to beat Aniston’s record, according to The Straits Times. This record, however, is currently held by "Harry Potter" star Rupert Grint.

Aniston's timeless beauty is admired by fans worldwide, even when she has no makeup on. While filming the drama "Cake" in 2014, tabloids went into a frenzy when photos of a makeup-free Aniston were released to the media, in which Aniston looked as beautiful as ever. The actress went barefaced for her role in the movie, in which she portrayed "Claire Simmons," a grieving mother who joins a chronic pain support group after being in a fatal car accident.

The photos showed Aniston in a less-glamorous look than we're used to seeing the actress, complete with puffy eyes, casual and loosely-fitting attire, and most notably, a vast scar on her left cheek. While the latter might have had fans baffled — given as it was one of the seldom times we got to see Aniston without makeup — it was actually a prosthetic for her role.

At Deadline's "Contenders" panel, the actress revealed that wearing no makeup for the movie was "so fabulous, and so dreamy and empowering and liberating."

"The only time I had to sit in the makeup chair was just for scars," she added.

But today, we are not focused on Aniston’s good looks, but rather what her diet is like, which is probably one of the key things to her good looks anyway. In an interview with Elle magazine in 2016, the "We’re The Millers" star let readers in on all the kind of food she eats in a day, and with the killer figure that she has, it's a no-brainer that we would want to know what she feeds herself. In fact, research continues to show that what we put into our bodies has a huge effect on our appearance — and not just on our size and figure. For example, this 2014 study claims that, "Recent research, however, has found a significant association between diet and some dermatological diseases. Dietary interventions may be recommended as therapy, as in acne. Dietary change may help to prevent skin disease, as in aging of the skin or skin cancer." That's even more reason to know exactly what Aniston eats every day.

What Our Jen Has For Breakfast, The Most Important Meal Of The Day

For breakfast, Aniston has a millennial favorite: avocado and eggs. But before that, she always has a glass of warm lemon water, a staple in her wake-up routine.

"When I wake up, I have warm lemon water and then I have a shake or avocado and eggs, which is one of my favorites," Aniston told the magazine. "I sprinkle a little coconut oil on that. Sometimes, I'll have a puffed millet cereal with a banana or I'll do oatmeal with an egg white whipped in at the end." According to the magazine, it was her then-husband actor Justin Theroux, 49, (as reported by USA Today, Aniston and Theroux tied the knot back in 2015 before parting ways in 2017)  who taught her the egg white trick, which then led her to become hooked on the extra ingredient. “[He] taught me that little move to get extra protein!" she revealed. "Right before [the oatmeal] is finished cooking, you just whip in an egg white and it kind of gives it this fluffy texture that's delicious."

Another breakfast item that the actress enjoys is the classic smoothie. In fact, she has them more than she has her avocado and eggs toast. She told Well + Good in 2018 that she adds a collagen peptide in her smoothie, which makes her “glow.”

"There is a collagen peptide that I’ve been loving — I’ve been seeing a difference! My nails are stronger and there’s a healthier… how do you explain it? A glow. It’s sort of that working from the inside-out thing,” she said to the lifestyle and news site.

Besides that, her concoction is pretty straightforward: protein powder, some bananas, blueberries, frozen cherries, stevia, a mix of vegetables, maca powder, and a little cacao. During the winter, Aniston says that she loves having hot millet cereal, which she has with almond milk and bananas. So far, her diet is looking super yummy — we hope you’re taking notes so far!

Lunch And Dinner Are Simple And Easy

For lunch, Aniston keeps it simple. She will have "some form of vegetables or salad with protein — pretty basic" and probably repeats that for dinner as well. She told Harper’s Bazaar in 2016 that she sometimes has “a chicken burger wrapped in lettuce.” According to Harper’s Bazaar, not only does Aniston work out five days a week, but she also avoids sugar. She says that this is one of the ways she takes care of herself and her body, and she feels better because of it. Being 47 years old at the time, she added that she felt better when she entered her 40s as compared to when she was younger.

"I feel better in my 40s. Not only do you feel better in your body physically, but you're mentally better. Because, say, in your 20s, you didn't know sh*t. For me, in my 30s I was just trying to figure it all out. Then when you hit 40, you're like, 'Oh, okay. I got this.'” She also said that women in their fifties who are “stunners”  are those that “just take better care of ourselves.”

In between all her main meals, Aniston is known to snack on apples dipped in almond butter or nuts. Fruits and nuts are a great way to satisfy hunger without spoiling your meals later in the day. They are also super healthy, according to TIME magazine. In an interview with Yahoo Food in 2016, the "Horrible Bosses" star said that she also likes to snack on cut raw veggies and hard-boiled eggs. She keeps her fridge stocked up with them, and they are all ready for her to munch on anytime she feels peckish.

Cheat Day(s)

So now that we know what she eats on a regular basis, let’s now find out what she eats when it is cheat day. In the same interview with Elle magazine, Aniston revealed that she used to enjoy going “all-out” on Mexican food but has since changed that to “a really good pasta,” and it is once again because of Theroux.

"Pasta has taken over as my new favorite go-to-town food," she said. "Yes, he has brought the pasta back into my life. I don't know whether I should thank him or hate him for that." But Aniston said she chooses to show him gratitude because the pasta carbonara that he used to make for her is “irresistible.” She loves it so much that she has even learned the recipe for it. "I've learned how to make it, and it's not that bad for you! It's just an egg, parmesan cheese, and a little pasta water. And we substitute turkey bacon for real bacon, so, you know." Yeah, we know alright — sounds delicious!

Like many of us, pizza is something that Aniston cannot resist sometimes. An interview with Aniston’s home designer by Architectural Digest in 2018 also revealed that the actress even has her own wood-fired pizza oven.

Lifestyle site My Domaine writes that the actress loves having her loved ones and friends over to her home for a DIY pizza night where they also enjoy wine from Aniston’s glass-encased wine room.
