As the globe continues to cope with the novel Coronavirus, most of us are riding it out in our homes while practicing self-isolation to hinder its spread. Unfortunately, many at-risk individuals like senior citizens and people with pre-existing conditions are finding it crucial to avoid the outdoors at all costs to protect themselves. And well, things can get a little dull.

Thankfully, celebrities and other public figures are finding creative ways to help us simpletons stay entertained through the wonders of technology and the internet. Legendary Hollywood actor Matthew McConaughey found a way to help keep seniors entertained – by hosting a virtual bingo game for a Texas senior facility.

Last weekend, McConaughey and his family hosted a bingo night through a group video call for residents at The Enclave at Round Rock Senior Living in Texas.

The actor read out bingo numbers while the seniors all played from their rooms as they practice social distancing. The senior home posted a clip of the sweet interaction on Facebook.

"We got a I-24, I-24..." McConaughey is heard saying in the video, to which two residents then called “bingo!”

"Oh...we've got two winners!" the actor says with excitement.

After the game, the residents wanted to find a creative way to thank McConaughey for his time.

Last month, the actor had taken to his Twitter account where he told his followers to "take care of ourselves and each other," and to "turn a red light into a green light,” by coming together in unity.

That video inspired the residents to thank him by using his “green light message.” Taking to big sheets of neon green paper, the seniors wrote sweet messages for McConaughey and his family.

"I wanted to say, from all of us, we want to continue to turn a red light into a green light," a worker is heard saying at the beginning of the video.
