Fleeting relationships are common in Hollywood, so the ones that last are quite rare and pretty special. Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos have been married since May 1996, and the two seem like they couldn’t be more in love. Together, they have three beautiful children and have shared some incredible moments with one another over their many years together. Fans all over the world have been able to get a peek into their happy life together over the couple’s now 26 years of marriage.

Ripa is known for her vivacious attitude as a talk show host, and she has also worked as an actress and television producer. Some of her most notable roles include being the co-host of the syndicated morning talk show “Live! with Kelly and Ryan,” as well as some past roles in sitcoms and soap operas, such as “All My Children.” This is actually how Ripa and Mark met, as the latter was a regular on the ABC soap opera. He is also known for his supporting role as Hiram Lodge on the television series “Riverdale.”

Together, the famous couple has been successful in their own career avenues – and they seem just as successful as a married pair. Ripa and Mark have easily become one of the most beloved couples in Hollywood, and their family is absolutely beautiful. The family spends most of their time together at their New York townhouse, as well as their residence in The Hamptons.

The pair’s three children – Michael, 25, Lola, 21 and Joaquin Consuelos, 20 – have all reached early adulthood. Despite now being empty nesters, Mark made clear to Ripa that he isn’t keen on raising any more kids of his own, but is looking forward to something that could be just as good.

The two met in 1995 on the set of “All My Children,” in which they played an onscreen couple, although Mark, 51, confessed he wasn’t too eager to make a move on Ripa, 52. “I thought she was adorable, hot, and sexy and all that stuff,” he told HuffPost. “But I was very focused – I didn’t really think I had a chance with her, so I wasn’t really focused on that.”

Luckily, Ripa was also interested, and the two hit it off. “I was drawn to Mark because he was positively an alpha male, and I didn’t think I would be drawn to that,” Ripa said. “But I just worship him.”

The happy pair later eloped on May 1, 1996, in Las Vegas and haven’t looked back since. They welcomed their son Michael in 1997, daughter Lola in 2001 and Joaquin in 2003. Mark appeared on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” and told the host:

“I’m crazy about my wife. We both come from families, our parents are still together – family is super important to us. We have three great kids, and that also bonds you, having that experience together.”

The family was recognized as one of the most beautiful families in Tinseltown and was interviewed by People for its 2019 Beautiful Issue. In the clip, they talked about what made them each unique and what they had learned from one another to the delight of their fans.

“These are children of privilege who seem to genuinely adore their parents and each other, kudos to Kelly and Mark for not raising entitled brats,” one viewer commented, while another wrote, “So great to see young people who are respectful and kind. Kudos to the parents for instilling moral values. The reward is having great kids.”

In 2019, Ripa admitted on her talk show that after spending time with her friend’s baby, it made her want to have a fourth child. “I was putting it out there for (Mark) last night,” she said. “He was like, ‘It’s all right. Let’s be grateful for what we have.”

Mark again reiterated on his wife’s podcast, “Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa” that he had no desire to have more children. The remark stemmed from a question from Ripa about whether Mark would ever remarry after her. He responded he wouldn’t as he “isn’t gonna have more kids.”

He doubled down and said, “I don’t want more kids. I’ll be an older dad.”

Ripa replied: “Do you know how many dads I know older than you that were just starting to have kids?”

“Yeah. And those poor b******s have no idea, because what happens next? You’re talking about hip replacements, knee replacements, and they’re gonna be that dad – not that there’s anything wrong with that dad. But I did it early. I didn’t plan it that way. It just happened. And we got really lucky that’s what we did when we did it,” Mark said. However, he added the timing of some things could have been better planned. “I thought it was too early. We should have had like a good year or two years just to ourselves,” he remarked.

The actor appeared set on not welcoming any more children of his own. However, that doesn’t mean his diaper-changing days are necessarily over.

“I think that I’m looking forward to being a grandfather,” Mark continued. “I’m really looking forward to that. That’s about as much parenting as I want.”
