Manami Ito Playing Violin With Her Prosthetic Arm Is Guaranteed To Brighten Your Day

When people fail at doing something, they often say it was bad luck or their life circumstances prevented them from succeeding. They claim it was bad timing, their suppliers couldn’t keep up, the bank withdrew funds, wrong location, or the customer just didn’t understand what they had to offer.

Regardless of their reasoning, they never take blame for their failings. After seeing what this amazing woman can do despite her unfortunate circumstances, there is no way someone could blame anyone but themselves for their short comings.

Manami Ito lost her arm in a traffic accident when she was going to nursing school. While she temporarily had to put off her schooling, she eventually got a prosthetic arm and finished her schooling. She began swimming and playing the violin as well. Everyone was amazed at how well she was doing at basketball.

At the 2008 Beijing Paralympics, she was 4th in the 100-meter Breaststroke and 8th at the 2012 London Paralympics.

Manami Ito is also the first nurse in Japan to practice with a prosthetic arm. She not only practices nursing and swimming, but she also plays the violin all around the world.

In her now viral Facebook video, she performs Thread by Miyuki Nakajima. Her performance was September 2, 2018. She performed in Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan at the Takarazuka City General Welfare Center.

Despite not having an arm, she was still able to do everything she had planned on doing before the accident and more. She overcame her unfortunate circumstances and thrived. She didn’t let anything hold her back in life. She found a way to succeed in her own way.
