Crystal Reynolds Fisher of Albion, Michigan, was fired from her gas station job after she alerted her manager she was unable to work one day because she needed to attend to her ill son.

According to WXYZ, She wrote a note to her manager explaining that she could not come in.
“I'm just letting you know my son remains on life support," she wrote. "So until he is out of the bad I will not be able to come to work. I can let you know as he starts to get better so that way I can return to work without no problems.”
Her manager, however, did not seem happy with the text she received and replied something that would send shockwaves across the nation.
"That isn't how we do things, so I'll accept that you're quitting." Her manager wrote back.
