Angelo appears to be an average working man, but this plumber recently partook in a miraculous rescue. The 32-year-old was spending the weekend with his family at Lake Windsor. The Colorado family was having a peaceful vacation until things took a serious turn.

Angelo was wading waist-deep in the lake when he felt something peculiar brush up against his leg. He was curious about what it could be, so he kicked his leg back to direct the object up toward the surface. What he saw was a child's foot as a three-year-old's unconscious body rose toward the surface of the lake.

According to the Coloradoan, Little Sitali was cold and unconscious, so Angelo quickly took her to the shore and began calling out for help. He asked people in the vicinity whose child she was while Sitali lay still on the ground with a blue color to her cold skin.

There happened to be two off-duty nurses within shouting distance who came to aid Angelo with the child. They worked persistently to administer CPR to Sitali until she finally regained consciousness. After the rescue, Angelo visited Sitali where she was recovering at the Children's Hospital in Aurora, Colorado.

He became overwhelmed with emotion when he saw that the little girl was going to be okay. Sitali's family has expressed their gratitude to the plumber. He wanted Sitali to know that he loved her as if she were a member of his own family.

People around the world have acknowledged Angelo as a hero, but he insists that he only did what a person in that situation would likely do by being there at just the right time to save her. He told Sitali's mother that he felt a kinship and love for the child the moment he saw those baby toes rising up in the water.

The three-year-old is expected to make a full recovery. It was later discovered that the toddler was not wearing a life vest, and that would probably have kept her from drowning. Because of this, Angelo has begun a mission to supply life vests to families who can't afford to buy them.
