Man Rescues Infant Raccoon After His Mother Was Hit By A Car

Animals end up in accidents on the road every single day and it often turns out tragic. Throughout the world, millions of animals end up killed on the roads of North America and Europe alone. To prevent this from happening, many areas have taken efforts to save animals from these accidents, but it's impossible to prevent all of them.

Among the most common animals to suffer these fates in North America are raccoons. In 2019, when a good samaritan named Eric saw a baby raccoon in trouble after its mother was killed by a car, he cared for the raccoon before taking him to the owner of the YouTube channel Tito the Raccoon. The baby raccoon received the care that he needed to survive and was even given a name, Cheeto, and adopted. Now he lives with his big raccoon brother Tito and is doing very well!

Raccoons are native to North America and very adaptable which is why they can inhabit places like urban areas instead of just remaining in mixed forests and other similar environments. It's not uncommon for people in the city to see raccoons scavenging through garbage or running through the streets. Unfortunately, this can put them in very dangerous situations which can lead to them becoming roadkill if they are not careful enough.

One baby raccoon became very lucky after its mother was tragically killed.

It isn't uncommon to see raccoons on the side of the road after getting hit by cars, but one day a man saw something on the side of the road moving and he decided to take action. The man named Eric was saddened to see a baby raccoon that had been orphaned and he decided to take it with him where he could help it at home.

After nursing the baby back to health for about a week, Eric decided to take him to the owner of the YouTube channel known as Tito the Raccoon, Mitchell. Mitchell was already the owner of Tito, a full-grown raccoon, and he immediately agreed to take care of the helpless, little creature.

To prevent Mitchell's raccoon Tito from contracting anything from the new addition, he kept the baby quarantined in a cardboard box stating in a video description that, "Until he is vet-approved they won’t have any contact."

After getting the baby settled into his new place, Mitchell took a trip to the grocery store to get everything that he needed for his new friend. Along with necessities such as a pet bed, feeding syringe, food bowls, milk, baby bottles, and potty pads, he also purchased him an adorable stuffed raccoon that looks just like him! When he got everything home, he immediately set it all up for the baby raccoon so he could start to relax in comfort while Mitchell made him a bottle of milk.

After taking care of the young raccoon, Mitchell decided to adopt it and ended up naming him Cheeto. He is also now good friends with his big brother Tito and is frequently seen on his YouTube channel. One adorable video alone has had more than 7.5 million views and people thanked Mitchell for everything that he has done to keep the little guy safe and healthy! He recently even celebrated his first birthday in June 2020.
