Not all heroes wear capes. In fact, many of them are people who are at the right place at the right time and have the courage to act. This was the case with a young Florida technician who rescued one famous family's beloved dog.

Tampa Bay, November 4. Cameron Maramenides, 16, was with his Jack Russel terrier named Zeus. Cameron is kiteboarder slated to compete for Team USA in the 2020 Olympics. His father, Dimitri, is himself a world-renowned kiteboarder who spends many weekends kiteboarding with his son.

It's not just the human members of the Maramenides family who are avid kiteboarders: Zeus himself has gained quite a bit of attention for his kiteboarding abilities. He has appeared in videos and magazines he shows off his skills.

On that day, Zeus suddenly went missing. When the family couldn't find him after their afternoon competition, they became devastated. The following days were spent desperately trying to find him -- hiring pet detective Jamie Katz and putting up a $3,500 cash reward for his return.

Their story found its way to Facebook where it was noticed by a young man named Miguel Camacho on November 8. He just so happened to be finishing up his studies for an upcoming test in West Tampa Park when he saw a car pull up that caught his attention.

When speaking to the Tampa Bay Times, Miguel said that when the man in the car stepped out, he had a dog that looked suspiciously like the one from the Facebook article. He decided to act, contacting the number from the post and calling the distressed Cameron.

Camacho knew he had to act, but he also knew he would be late for his test. He ultimately decided to follow the man in the car. After doing so, the man eventually stopped and confronted Miguel about why he was following him.

The situation could've gotten ugly, but he maintained his cool and told the man: "I believe that dog isn't yours." After telling the man that the dog's owner was on the phone, he called Zeus by his name at Cameron's prompting over the phone.

The trick worked, and Zeus immediately hopped into Miguel's car. He then took the pup back to the Maramenides family. The exhausted family reunited with their beloved dog after a long, stressful week.

The family thanked Miguel for saving Zeus even in the face of a potentially dangerous situation. He was unaware of the cash award, but accepted it. He plans to use it to buy his 2 children Christmas presents while putting the rest of the money in savings.

The police were unable to find the identity of Zeus' abductor so far. In the meantime, Miguel reported that he was able to retake the test he had missed after his teacher learned about his heroic deeds.

Feel free to spread the news about Miguel Camacho's bravery to everyone you know. Also, don't forget to tell us what you think in the comments!
