Going to a fast food place is commonplace for many people. They can go in, grab some food, eat, and get back to life. It's not a place where you would expect to be mortified.

Jimmy Shue is a North Carolina man who decided to stop by Wendy's for lunch. He was going to pick up something for him and his fiancée. However, a short time later, he left the restaurant utterly embarrassed.

When he placed his order for two sandwiches, he gave the cashier his name. The employee thanked him and gave him the receipt. When Jimmy looked at the receipt, his name was nowhere to be found. The employee had typed something else into the name field.

Another employee brought the order to the counter, but didn't want to call the name on the receipt. However, he did it anyway. Order for "Chubby."

Employees and customers alike started laughing and snickering at Jimmy. He grabbed the order and left abruptly. He was humiliated and hurt.

A local media outlet contacted Wendy's corporate headquarters about the incident. They issued a statement that stated, in part, that they work hard to create "a welcoming and inclusive environment for our employees and customers." They took appropriate action.

The franchise owner of this particular Wendy's fired the employee who did this.
