Man On A Typewriter Sits In With Orchestra For An Unforgettable Performance

In today’s world, a typewriter seems completely out of place. With the rise of iPhones and laptops, few of us ever see typewriters being used anywhere. They're no longer a part of any business activity and you can't even find them on the shelves of stores.

But one man back in 2012 decided the typewriter needed an outing. In a completely unconventional move, he wheels one out amidst an orchestra and types along with the musicians - in a performance that will certainly surprise you!

A full-scale orchestra with violins, flutes, and other instruments looked like it was almost complete. But then, a surprise addition came to join the group. A gentleman dressed in a suit came rolling a typewriter right into the midst of the orchestra.

Looking completely out-of-place, the man didn’t seem at all uncertain of himself as he positioned the typewriter and then sat down in front of it. When he began playing, the entire audience was in for a surprise!

Rather than sticking out like a sore thumb, the noise emanating from the typewriter went right in sync with the rest of the band. If you have any experience with typewriters, you know the sound they make when a key is struck. By striking different keys, the gentleman was able to make it seem like it fit right in with the rest of the performers.

Some people commented that the end result was almost hypnotic as they listened to the keys strike over and over again. Now that typewriters are being added to orchestras, we may begin seeing them in instrument stores! How funny would that be?

While the performance was awe-inspiring, what is really shocking is how few children and teenagers even know what was being played! Completely unfamiliar with a typewriter, some younger viewers actually think that it is a music instrument.
