Man Goes To Jail For Fighting A Bison At Yellowstone National

A man got arrested after he egged a bison on and other visitors complained. This behavior set a precedent for human-animal interactions.

Zoos and wildlife parks are supposed to be places where people can go to appreciate the wildlife. Unfortunately, sometimes people take the appreciation too far and engage in dangerous interactions. Such was the case when a man went head-to-head with a biso.

The police arrested him after the incident, and the park was prompted to give its visitors additional instructionals on how they were to conduct themselves at the park. Visitors have to stay 25 yards from elk and bison and even more from bears and wolves. They must stay at least 100 yards away from such animals. Parks have these regulations to keep their visitors safe.

These animals are still wild animals regardless of their environment inside of the zoo or wildlife park. They are still unpredictable and can attack at any time. Not too long ago a woman was mauled by a bison. She did survive, but that would not have happened if she had been adhering to the park's rules and stayed away from the animal. It appears that humans sometimes just don't realize how dangerous animals are. Some of them, like the gentleman in the story, go so far as to taunt the animals. That type of behavior is not only dangerous but it's also forbidden in the park.

The gentleman in the story is no stranger to public misconduct and even intoxication he was arrested at the Grand Teton National Park for drunk and disorderly conduct. His trip to Yellowstone National Park occurred right after his arrest for his behavior at Grand Teton National Park. The Yellowstone National Park rangers said that they felt that this man was intoxicated during this incident as well. Park visitors were the ones who reported the harassment that the man was doing to the animals.

One lady said that she saw him, and he was taunting an animal. He was wearing no shoes and no socks, and she was disturbed about the incident because of the high level of danger.

Parks in the area have cracked down on animal harassment and other dangerous acts. Let your friends and family members know that they must be careful if they visit wildlife parks.
