Living the life you want can be a major struggle when you’re young. Balancing work and school with daily responsibilities can be difficult to figure out.

Thankfully, the world often finds a way to help people, giving them the final push to get to their desired destination. One young lady just starting out in California has seen first hand how the world can provide help in the most unexpected of times.

Kayla Cooper of San Diego has big aspirations as she studies to be a nurse. Holding down two jobs to support her education, Kayla often had a hard time traveling to and from her school and jobs. Usually, Kayla borrowed cars from her friends and family, but with that no longer an option, she knew that she’d have to purchase her own vehicle. Checking out the selection at a local Auto City, Kayla knew that she was in major trouble.

Speaking with reporters from KGTV, Kayla said that none of the cars at the dealership were in her price range:

“I would have to literally pull a needle out of a haystack to try to get myself a car so I could get to work,”

Distraught and sobbing, Kayla left the Auto City as a salesman tried to offer words of consolation.

Just as Kayla was leaving, Dan Laguardia arrived at the dealership, intent on trading in his old car for a new one. Seeing how upset Kayla was, Dan took it upon himself to help the young woman. Dan had the sales staff call back Kayla and offered to give her the car he was planning to trade in free of charge.

Seoul Fields was at the Auto City as the scene unfolded and posted the news to Facebook on the 6th of February and in less than three weeks, the post was shared about 11, 000 times!

Signing over the car’s title, Dan handed Kayla the keys to the car as tears of joy filled her eyes. Seoul concluded Kayla and Dan’s story by saying “God is good!”

Seoul’s post quickly went viral in the San Diego area, with countless individuals inspired by Dan’s act of generosity. Speaking with reporters, Kayla says that she’s still astounded by Dan’s kindness. For his part, Dan felt that it was an issue of right versus wrong.

He told ABC 10 News:

"It gives her a little bit of a jump start in life and if everybody did that for everybody else, we'd be a much better place"
