Man Gets Pulled Over - Gets Giftcards Handed To Him Instead Of Ticket

When you're pulled over by an officer, you expect to be handed a ticket. A man was shocked when he was given something that would benefit his life at the time he was pulled over.

You've probably thought that you were going to get something and then given something entirely different before. Sometimes, you're scammed out of a lot of money or made out to be a fool.

Lance Van Dyke thought he was going to get a ticket when he saw a state trooper in his rearview mirror. Pulling over to the side of the road, Lance prepared himself for the bad news. He also prepared himself to offer an explanation for why he was breaking the rules of the road.

Lance knew that the trooper pulled him over because the window tint on his car was too dark. Those who have tinted windows know the story behind getting pulled over. When the trooper talked to Lance about his windows, he warned him that he should consider getting the tint removed or at least a lighter shade.

Before walking away from the car, the trooper gave Lance a card. Trooper Logan Christel gave Lance one of his business cards along with two gift cards. Lance couldn't believe what was happening, so he took a picture of the cards and posted the picture on his social media page.

Lance was upset because he was pulled over, but the trooper made him respect officers just a little more. The trooper could see that Lance had received a few tickets in the past, so he wanted to try to make his day better. He gave Lance two gift cards, letting him know that not all officers are as bad as people think they are or out to arrest everyone they can.

The gift cards were for $10 each. One was to a local gas station, and one card was for the same amount to Walmart. Trooper Christel was involved with Lights of Christmas. This was a program in Wisconsin that gave the gift cards to officers so that they could deliver them to people who might need a helping hand.

After getting the gift cards, Lance has changed his view about police officers and state troopers. He knows that if you communicate and if you make good choices, then your situation can turn out for the better.
