The postal service is something a lot of us complain about. This is especially true if mail arrives damaged or late. We might even fear that postmen aren't even bothering to deliver it!

Cinematographer Douglas Thron was concerned when he saw a postman in a weird part of town. Thron got worried that something disturbing was happening to the mail. He wondered what was going on and decided to film it with his drone.

As soon as he hit "record," Thron finally understood what was happening.

Santa Rosa, California has been devastated by wildfires. Thron's video shows a postman so dedicated that he's still delivering mail through the fire. Even though the rest of the area is burned away, several people still have mailboxes up.

The postman is named Trevor Smith. He explained that many residents still want their mail despite the circumstances. Thron filmed this man driving through a mobile home park for seniors. Smith knows many of these seniors by name. Several of them asked him to continue delivering their mail.

The postal service has an unofficial motto that "Neither snow, nor rain, nor heat, nor gloom of night" will stop the mail from being delivered. Now it appears that this includes wildfires, too!

Trevor's heartwarming actions have made us see the postal service in a very different light. We always knew that they work hard and now we're even more grateful for it.
