It's common to see large trees down after a hurricane or severe storm. One man turned a damaged tree into something beautiful so that it would be remembered for years to come.

When you honor the people who have served the country, it shows the love that you have for them. Sonny Brewer is a Vietnam veteran who has a passion for showing his appreciation for those who continue to risk their lives every day just to protect the freedoms of the people in the country. However, he has been knocked down a few times in his life.

After Hurricane Michael ravaged the town where Sonny lives, he knew that he had to find a way to keep everyone's spirits up while they cleaned and rebuilt. While walking around his community, Sonny came across a large tree stump. Thinking about what he could turn the stump into, he knew that it needed to be something patriotic. He soon had the idea to transform it into an eagle in the colors of red, white, and blue.

Sonny knew that the political symbol would be one to give encouragement to those who needed it while they were cleaning up after the hurricane. He thought that it would be a way to bring everyone together as a community as well. The eagle now stands proudly at an intersection in Panama City where everyone can admire it each day.
