We all have accomplishments that we’re proud of. Once we complete a difficult task that we’ve been working on for some time, it can be an amazing feeling when we’re finally all done and have accomplished our goals. When people think of these prideful moments, they often think of graduations, births of children, or successes in their career field.

One special man knows all about success after he finally completed his nursing degree from New York University. A nursing degree is a long process that takes a lot of hard work, determination, and discipline to get through. But in Frank Baez’s case, there’s a catch. When Frank was a teenager, he actually worked at the university’s hospital as a janitor. During his time there, he cleaned the rooms of many patients, bathrooms, and hallways.

Now a 29-year-old, Frank has finally graduated NYU. When reminiscing on his time at the college, he recalls entering school with little knowledge of the English language. He was born in the Dominican Republic and moved to the United States when he was 15 years old. His first job was at the hospital as a housekeeper, which he procured in order to help support his family’s financial burdens. But while working as a janitor, he began to get interested in the medical field. After transferring jobs to a patient transporter, he eventually took some time off to complete a nursing degree. Learning a new language and accomplishing such a difficult degree is certainly something for this man to be proud of, and now his story is going viral and warming the hearts of people around the globe.

Another amazing reason why Frank should be proud of himself is that he not only completed his nursing degree but did it at an accelerated rate of just 15 short months. The program is rigorous and strenuous, but Frank managed to pass the courses with flying colors in an effort to pursue his future career as soon as possible. Finishing school with an impressive 3.6 GPA, Frank credits his success to working hard and studying late. Although there were times he wanted to give up, he saw the bigger picture and was motivated to keep going.
