Man Claps Back At Critics Who Said His Holiday-Themed Nails Look Like 'Bricks'

There’s no better way to show self-love than to pamper oneself by having a complete makeover or by simply getting hair and nails done. Well, a man who loves getting her nails done did just that by giving himself a much-needed nail transformation in time for the festive season. But what better way to get one’s nails done than by going for a Christmas-inspired design that matches the season?
Adam Birks loves getting his nails done. Weeks before Halloween, he achieved the design he hoped for, which he described as “unreal.”
He wanted to have his nails done but went to a different nail salon, where he opted to go for a design in time for the Yuletide season. “I couldn’t get into my normal nail tech,” he wrote in the caption of the TikTok video from November 2022.
“I had to go to a different nail shop and asked for Christmas nails, I’m in shock,” the text in the video read.
He then picked a Christmas-themed look that featured different designs for each nail.
In the video, he first showed his bare nails before he went on to let his fans see how the nail technician did his nails. One design featured an eye-catching candy cane, while another showed a cute snowflake design.
The video went viral and has garnered more than 6.7 million views as of writing.
While he received positive reactions, some TikTok users couldn’t help but react negatively to the video he posted. A lot of people noticed that the nails were too long than most users expected them to be.
“I actually love them, I would need them half the length though,” one user said.

“They are stunning, but far too long & wide,” another user wrote.
“The nails are too long for me and the ring finger looks like the Cuticle has been flooded,” one other user said.
But those weren’t the worst comments he received. Some people even compared his nails to bricks. “They look like bricks,” one user commented.
One nail technician also commented, saying the shape and bulkiness were irksome. “As a nail tech I’m really bothered by the shape and bulkiness,” the user wrote.
Apparently, some people misunderstood what he meant when he said he was in shock, so he addressed them in the comments.
“I love how mad everyone is over MY nails," he said. "I love them so…”
Birks didn’t anticipate the trolling – much less making it to the news. So, he made another TikTok video where he can be seen raising his middle fingers up before dancing his annoyance away.
“When I post innocent nail videos but end up in the newspapers the next day and getting trolled by thousands all across the world all from fake profiles but now every paper is asking to use my content,” he said.
But some people seemed to side with him and commented on his most recent video. Yes, they praised his nails this time around.
“They’re just jel of your keratin babes,” one user said.
Another person who commented on his nails admitted she also commented on his video but said it wasn’t her intention to make him feel bad. “Oh I commented my comment came across so bad I swear it wasn’t my intent,” the user said.
Then again, it seemed he really didn’t feel bothered about what other people had to say about his nails.
“Thanks trolls oh P.S. I still love my nails,” he said.
